soul cinema passing

Vonetta McGee, star of many 1970s soul cinema and blaxploitation classics such as Blacula and Shaft In Africa, passed away yesterday. She was 65.

Here's an interview she did on "Soul Train" in 1973 shortly before filming began on Shaft In Africa
