Lightfoot is alive
No "Sundown" for Gordon Lightfoot. The legendary, 71-year-old, Canadian singer-songwriter is very much alive despite yesterday's reports that said he had died while on a North American tour. Reports of his death spread quickly on radio, television, and news websites.
Apparently,he was informed of his death by a report he heard on his car radio as he drove to his office.

for Haiti
This week marks the Billboard chart debut of "We Are The World 25: For Haiti", the charity single which raises money and awareness for the plight of the Haitian people who were recently rocked by a horrific earthquake on January 12, 2010.
It was always going to be a challenge to cover such a unique and momentous recording. With Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie back at the production helm, they've certainly created a magnificent, updated rendition of the song for a worthy cause.
The single entered the US singles chart at #2.
And here is the awe-inspiring original from 1985...
The British, who started the charity single trend in 1984 with "Do They Know It's Christmas?", released their star-studded single for Haiti this week. "Everybody Hurts", originally recorded by R.E.M., was produced by Simon Cowell at the request of Gordon Brown, Prime Minister of the UK.
Proof that music can make difference.

the secret inside Sade
In a career stretching back more than 25 years, Sade hasn't exactly been prolific or terribly visible. There were always short windows of opportunity to catch a glimpse of her, whether it was a new video that might get some airplay or one of very few interviews. In fact, interviews have been rare at best.
It's delightful being able to see a full, ten-minute clip of Sade and her oft hidden band mates talking about their recollections regarding the making of "Soldier Of Love", her sixth album.
